My heart goes out to him, especially because even his grief may be a self-deception to absolve his conscience of the guilt. May God give him true “godly sorrow leading to repentance not to be repented of.” May the churches learn to put their faith more whole-heartedly in Christ and the Word, rather than in the performance of men.
